The reason I decided to create this site? Well, even though I am a conservative (read Republican), I believe one thing without question: God is not limited by man’s affairs. In this country we call ourselves conservative or liberal. Republican or Democrat (no disrespect to independents). In other countries they have different names. Right or left.
Still, I have read much of the Bible and do not recall reading where those institutions are part of Christendom. God brought the law, affirmed the law and then ammended the law. He never said a particular political party or affiliation was necessary to understanding what He tells us.
I know that some will say “How can He not be conservative? He tells us what the Law entails and then expects us to follow it faithfully.”
Others might say that His son Jesus shook the status quo and is therefore a liberal.
In reality, God is not limited by us. I can’t imagine where the Bible tells differently. So, my wife tells me that perhaps my comments are not correct. As I respect her opinion on all things, I will have to revisit this issue. I still believe both halves of the political spectrum (no matter the country) claim Jesus as a full faith supporter. I just do not believe he would vote party line.
