Sometimes we have to remember that any ministry website, as good as it might be, is no substitute for making personal relationships. I recently had the good fortune to take the youth group to a Spurs game. It was a lot of fun. Yes, the Spurs won, but it was more than that. The youth were happy to get away from home and watch a game together.
Even though they see one another each week in Sunday School, this was more enjoyable. The chance to get to know one another better and talk about things outside of church is what ministry leads to. Sure, we are following the Great Commission of telling others about Jesus Christ. But, we need to be in their midst to do it. A Spurs game seems like as good a place as any to me.
