Here at work, I had a conversation recently with my supervisor about informing our members when new functions are available on the member portal. His feeling is that we should not do it. I was thinking it would be good internal PR and an opportunity to keep them abreast of what changes are taking place and at what frequency. I understood his position and we did not create a Twitter account as that was my suggestion for posting the data.
However, I wish we had done it. Especially for member organizations with many opportunities for connecting, this might be a good way to let them know about a new tweak or update.
