I have been using “social networking” tools for the past couple of weeks, after getting the new iPhone 3G. At this point, I would say that having a quick and fast connection, along with well designed tools, makes keeping other in the loop very easy. If I want to update Twitter/Facebook, I just press the Twitterfon or Facebook app and am a few keystrokes away. This blog, I can use the official WordPress app.
Overall, I can see the speed and ease of use. However, for me, the other part is the social interaction. I don’t really interact to a great extent with my friends at this point. I see what they are doing on Facebook and make my updates available, but interaction is limited. This will probably change, but I think it needs to come from me. This is still new after all.
