The real reason Apple is so innovative [video] – Holy Kaw!: It’s rare for me to find someone who can make a statement in a secular context that is better suited to a Christian one. This is one of those people. He doesn’t talk about God or Jesus. He talks about what we believe and why it’s important.
When folks ask me what the youth group does, or what is our guiding principle, I tell them its intended to introduce youth to the basic tenets of Christianity. Its also a place for them to learn how to be a part of the church by participating in mission and ministry.
I might be better served to tell them:
- We believe Jesus Christ died so that all could be redeemed, no matter their age. (Why)
- We set aside assets for each age group to have meetings and a leader to guide their understanding. (How)
- We have an active youth group that is learning about Jesus and actively contribute to the church’s life. (What)
